The potter books>>>> the potter movies.

They should redo it diwn the line as an HBO series. Let the books be the exact script.

This is an easy answer. Generation plays a part in this as well. Harry Potter has the better track record overall “series” wise but thAt is also Bc they are 7 pieces of literature to help wit that.
As a fan of HP, no hate at all, not a single entry comes even close to The Godfather of classic sci fi thAt is T2.
Let alone the nostalgia classic of the 80s made original.
Potter is terrific but T2 alone outshines the entire potter series. Sorry

As someone who read all the books, I despise how cookie cutter and lame the movies are. Terminator all day. Even the ones that are shytted on like T3 and salvation I enjoyed. Still got genesis wrapped up and I’m afraid to watch it :heh: How is Potter ranked so high btw?

The year 3030
which ones were cookie cutter?

As book readers we had an advantage to know more of the minuet details, but overall for the casual movie goer it was pretty tight for the most part. My sis never read the books, and the only real question she had was in DH when Snape produced his patronous, she had thought that he was related to harry/his pops, and that he loved her

Potter all day. There's not a movie that's bad, just different levels of greatness. Azkaban is still the best one though, and while not as great as T2, it could give T1 a run for it's money.

T3 was bad, like Crocodile Dundee 3 bad. Salvation had potential but...and then there's Genesys.

Genysis? :dahell:

Dude, that's one of the worst movies I've seen in the past decade. Like beyond terrible. But do you.

Dunno, maybe I was in a really good mood or something. I had zero expectations and was entertained. I'm not saying it's memorable but it was it is. I'd rather watch that than Harry Potter and Deathly Hollows part 1. I did end up voting for Harry Potter though.

At least you're honest. Genysis I didn't realize how bad it really was until it was on cable some month's back and I was watching it in disbelief like, wtf were they smoking? I couldn't find one redeeming thing about it.

OK, you'r right. Not Crocodile Dundee 3 bad, but similar to that one, it's was obvious they didn't even try. At least with Salvation & Genesys they attempted some sort of direction to take it.

T2 is the best film out of either series & I'm more likely to sit down and watch it & T1 over any Potter film, but consistency is important and how many franchises can claim to have as many films that are quality like the Potter series can. T1 & T2 are classics but nothing worth mentioning from that series after that in a positive light where as Potter has at least 8 solid films with great character building & storytelling over each of them.

Potter wins.

They basically remade part 2. The ending was actually pretty good tho I'll give em that. But I wouldn't say Salvation and especially Genysis were a better watch than 3. There's one or two pretty dope scenes in part 3 can't say the same for Salvation and Genysis.
