jay still shows glimpses in some verses but thats nothing like the consistency at which he produced b4...i find myself listening to some of jay's new shytt like:to: where is jay z at? but its expected his focus on music is clearly not the same

I probably went overboard but I'm saying his new material sounds so uninspired to me. You can make an argument that he hasn't switched his style up and that's cool but for me as a Jay fan it's not the same. It's like he's so far removed from hip-hop that it's like that homie you used to know around the way that always talked about grinding and coming up, disappears, and a few years later you see he finally does it. You're like cool, that's real shyt but at the same time kicking it with him is different cause you guys are in different worlds now.

I was actually thinking about making this thread for his wife, Rihanna took her spot, lip synched at Obama's re election, her album didn't make that Complex top 50 most anticipated albums list.

Not looking good for Beyonce :to:

Dangerously in love, Halo and Dance For You for are timeless classics though :win:

50's net worth is way up there and people on here call him :flabbynsick: every chance they get.

Big difference. Fif hasn't released a relevant album since "The Massacre" in '05. Every album Jay has released since Reasonable Doubt has peaked at #1 on Billboard. Jay is consistent although he's often criticized by hipsters who think he's too successful, but there's always a genuine interest in his music as well as a fascination with his business ventures. Fif on the other hand just makes fascinating business moves, but there's ZERO anticipation or even expectation for his music in 2013.

Curtis was the beginning of the decline. By the time BISD dropped tho it was over. Yea that Jay verse is :snoop:, but judging by the feedback from JT fans the whole song was :snoop:, so I guess he just provided a :snoop: verse for a :snoop: song :manny:
