EM.. i have a love/hate thing with dude...where his verses are hot.. like he killed that first D-12 album..the beats were even sick.. his albums though.. mostly below average.. i get sick of them within 3 days and never listen again.. MMLP is good. not classic to me.. he has no classic albums IMO.. he has classic guest apperances though like when he shyt on jay in renegade.. his skill on the mic cannot be denied but i think looking back letting him and dre do almost all of there production hurt them .. and him doing corny ass singles hurt him.. like cartoony ...wacky ... doofy ass singles.. they are all annoying as shyt to me

i don't want to blame the hip hop artists, but it seems like society as a whole is just so fukking enamored with success. it's always been that way for generations but not in the music, music has and should have always been about what you're creating and not how well you're able to market and push it.
shyt makes me sick man when i catch myself also falling for the hype which happens sometimes with a new jay-z release. i used to be an em fan, i even think he has 4-5 strong, strong joints on encore but it's like he just forgot how to rap to the fanbase that grew up on him
