Earlier in the game he was talking about Agnew catching a ball and being out of bounds when he clearly didn't catch it. Like it wasn't even close either, it was very obvious that pass sailed

I think part of it is throwing a legend a bone when they want to work. It's hard to embrace the schedule of nothing but golf and sun when you're used to being in the game at the highest level.

I always suspected Madden walked away on his own terms because he didn't wanna go out flabby like Marv and Al, but he's the exception.
