the vice mcmahon situation really reminds me of the george lucas situation.

lucas was a deemed an honorary genius of his time until the world was exposed to his 3 prequel movies. then not only was his name tarnished, but the legacy of the franchise was a lil bit too. thankfully he sold it off to disney and they have put it back in the hands of the young, fiery, and passionate storytellers... all of whom grew up loving it. a few years back things were looking pretty bleak but fast forward to 2015 and the future of the star wars franchise is looking brighter than it ever has.

vince, and in my opinions the mcmahons, need to let it go now. let someone else come in and take the reigns. the next vince mcmahon, the next eric bischoff, the next visionary.

hhh and stephenie is not the answer. it will be just more of the same. probably even worse.

Sounds like it would be a good WWE Network show just following Vince McMahon around.

Easier said than done...

Anybody can sit down and think of some good booking decisions... or at least enough for a few months. It's another thing to be able to run a company and pour your entire life into it for years. Everybody's talkin' this Shane shyt, but he wasn't even dedicated enough to stay a part of the company, what makes you think he wants to be THE person running the whole ship. And that's not a knock on him, but clearly it's not his heart and soul to the point where he'd wanna give his whole life to it. I definitely think there's some things Vince should allow others to do now, but to step off completely and have no involvement? It'd take someone willing to devote that much of their lives. And I doubt he'd ever just pass his family business on to someone else just cause they got good ideas about booking feuds.

I still think there will be another boom period...wrestling just needs to find it's own identity again.

With a lot of indie wrestling promotions finding their way to tv again, the continuing rise of Lucha Underground as well as growing awareness for Japanese wrestling tells me we're slowly going there. The only thing left is the arrival of one star to transcend to the mainstream and pull everyone in.

I dont see it happening unless another major company that can rival the wwe in size comes along there are people that have the resources to do it though.
