soccer is probably the most rigged sports, the whole fifa thing is just beyond terrible

I remember back in 2002 when they carried south korea and japan to as far as possible in tournament so they could make soccer more popular in asian region. I thought there won't be a worse shyt than that.

But then they did that qatar shyt.

additional 16 teams is just stupid, the game was competitive enough now they are going to ruin it by adding bunch of pedestrian teams. I mean what they going to add? More shytty ass asian squads? Additional 8 european teams? This shyt going to look like a mix of euro and world cup

Or more teams like Gabon, Ivory Coast, Chile, Paraguay, Ghana, Cameroon, USA, Italy.

Better chances for players like Bale, Aubameyang to play in the final tournament and have a moment. Maybe future versions of George Weah and Dwight Yorke actually have a great shot at least showing out in their primes instead of missing out completely or being dragged along as old men.

They're not taking spots away from anyone and the knockouts start at the 3rd game instead of the 4th. Teams like Panama and Saudi Arabia get sent home quicker.
