...but Blatter shrugged off the notion that he could be next.

"Arrested for what? Next question," Blatter said curtly when meeting international media for the first time since American and Swiss federal cases rocked FIFA's home city on Wednesday.

"I forgive but I don't forget," Blatter also said at FIFA headquarters, referring to a European-led attempt to oust him after 17 years in office.

I told yall dons don :yeshrug:

Get this man a Scorcese movie.

Slap in the face for everyone...apart from the 130+ countries who voted Blatter.

Yo real talks this is a slap in the face to everyone with Blatter being reelected.

This guy has been in charge since the 90s on and we seen multiple stories of corruption since then. Then this comes out and he gets re elected like its all good and casual :russ::mindblown:

nikka youre the one at the top. If you didnt know it was all happening without your knowledge thats an L on you. If you did thats an L. Either way how is he still top dog :mindblown:

To put it simply for you...he has done favors for a lot of people. A lot of the smaller federations have been :eat: during his time on top.

Anyone who follows even a little modern politics should know what it is...or hell even watching The Wire... :russ:

In the video posted to Facebook on Sunday,Warner holds up a printout of an article from The Onion announcing that the 2015 World Cup will be held in the United States -- beginning May 27. As soccer fans know, the World Cup takes place every four years, the next games to be held in 2018 in Russia.

“I look to see that FIFA has frantically announced [that in] 2015, this year ... the World Cup [will] begin May 27," he said. "If FIFA is so bad, why is it that [the] USA wants to keep the FIFA World Cup? Why is it that they have begun games on May 27?"

Damn, I came here to post that and you beat me to it.

It blows my mind that people can rise to such positions and be so fukking stupid. He believed a 1-paragraph article that claimed the World Cup had already started....that the USA had moved it up 3 years early and in their own country. How the fukk can you be in an important leadership position and yet be completely devoid of all critical reasoning and common sense?

I mean, this is the entirety of the article that he's waiving around:

ZURICH—After the Justice Department indicted numerous executives from world soccer’s governing body on charges of corruption and bribery, frantic and visibly nervous officials from FIFA held an impromptu press conference Wednesday to announce that the United States has been selected to host this summer’s 2015 World Cup. “We are thrilled to reveal that, for the first time in 21 years, the World Cup will finally return to America, with matches set to kick off today at 5 p.m. local time in Los Angeles,” said FIFA president Sepp Blatter, smiling broadly before unveiling the tournament’s official logo, a hand-drawn stick figure kicking a soccer ball with “USA 2015!” hastily scribbled in black marker above its head. “With world-class venues in cities across the country and a rapidly growing passion for the sport, the U.S. is the perfect choice—really the only choice—for this summer’s tournament. Everyone at FIFA is certain that the 2015 World Cup in America will be a tremendous success, and billions of fans from around the world will, in just a few hours, come together to enjoy this wonderful display of soccer over the coming weeks.” At press time, the U.S. national team was leading defending champions Germany in the World Cup’s opening match after being awarded 12 penalties in the game’s first three minutes.

Warner also says he's clean and he has "never in his life accepted a bribe". :francis:

He's claiming that he has dirt on Trinidad's prime minister and seems to be trying to blackmail her to stop from being extradited to the USA. :krs::merchant:

He might actually get out of this shyt. :leon:

Let's see... more spots in the WC for the rest of the world, WC's in Asia and Africa, pitch and training development everywhere in the world....but Blatter's reign has been somehow horrific.

The battle on hand here has always been Western indignation at an international org where decision making is determined by equal voting weight. Deal with it.

This is correct.

The US has always :whoa: when it comes to going after Blatter and FIFA because they ate well. They never sided with Europe and CONMEBOL who had issues with them because of America bringing bullshyt sqauds to Copa America while saving their best players for the Gold Cup.

England was like yeah lets go after FIFA and the US pretty much told them to go kick rocks. The US has been treated as a special case, the US doesn't work under the traditional FIFA calendar, got the world cup without having a league, and changing the rules early on. The US was getting 2026 or 2030 imo.

The Canadian FA was officially calling Uncle Jack a great friend of Canada when we hosted the u-20 in 2007 and now they're mimicking US Soccer press releases :pachaha:

In the 80s West Germany and Austria colluded to dump Algeria out of the tournament. When CAF and AFC tried to get FIFA to impose sanctions on Apartheid SA FIFA led by the Euros refused until late on. UEFA are the wrong group to lead this crusade against Blatter. I am also seeing a lot of complaints about how small nations have the same voting power as Germany/England etc but I think in UEFA the smaller nations also have the same voting rights as the bigger ones.

The English FA cant even talk Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland into co-signing a UK team for the 2016 Olympics. Not even the father in their own house.

Stan Collymore y'day said players from nations who voted for Blatter should be banned from the Premier League. Next line out his mouth was "So thats the African nations..." :mjpls: Just had to lead off with that.

Already knew he was a c00n for catching feelings over that Swedish broad but damn.

:dead: Stan is the worst of the WUMs. Him and Saggers know exactly what they are doing. Every Monday they're talking about taking back the game for the working man then in the next breath asking why [Insert Club] isn't spending 200 million and having a go.

Regarding the African nations a few media personalities in England and the US were saying "don't these Africans know better? Can't they think for themselves?" :mjpls:
