didn't ESPN just broadcast the past 12 years of World Cup coverage?
Yes, they highlight soccer for a couple of months every four years. Impeccable. And even then it's not the top story. When else does SportsCenter block out time periods for soccer? :stopitslime:

not giving a fukk?

Fam, why do you condone this outright bullshyt?

You're getting a lot of this twisted. Corruption is despicable in any form but under the current system a lot of the developing world received aid they hadn't previously seen to grow the game. What Jack and Chiuck Blazer did for South Africa is beyond disgusting but if we are going to judge them we have to assess all their work. My defense of Warner stems from that and only that. Jack did his own things with people like Webb and Blazer which I can't condone but he helped a ton of players, coaches, and referees get to heights they were never going to. Not because they lacked the skill or knowledge but due to where they were born and lack of access previously.

I don't want to get too technical but you can't fault countries who don't have much asking for aid. I know someone who worked in CONCACAF and they mentioned the following

For the 2006 World Cup vote, Geoff Hurst (England) flew into the Caribbean hoping to gain favor with many of the countries. A few of the coaches and officials asked for:
- Help with coaching (courses and possibly having West Indian coaches intern in England)
- Helping with building on infrastructure/facilities - floodlights, stands
- Breaking down of the restrictions for players moving England (work permits - the process can be very political depending on the size of the buying teams) as well releasing English born,Caribbean descent players so they could play for Caribbean nations that their parents/grand parents were born in. There was an Aston Villa player who was never going to play for England's national team (he represented England their u15 team as a teen) but wanted to play for one of the islands in World Cup qualifying, the English refused. That created some animosity between said island and England, leading that country to vote for Germany.

On all accounts, England said we will consider but this isn't likely. Their pitch was about the good of the game and bringing football home, how does that serve countries not named England? It's ugly game but you can't hate people looking out for their interest. Not everyone is getting $40,000 in a brown bag. With Warner, he looked after them and they rewarded him.

The developing world gets more help from people like Sepp than anyone else. I wouldn't say they love him but they understand where their bread is buttered.

US is a football backwater without FIFA and Bill Clinton's help

it still is innit :jawalrus:

regardless of what happens to FIFA and Sepp, the fukkery that is gonna rip through CONMEBOL and specifically the CBF :mjlol:

This fukkery is going to be a sight to behold.

Argentina is a mess in all aspects but Brazil :banderas:

"I like you, you brought me again into Fifa. All those that have voted for Prince Ali, I congratulate you - he is a good candidate.

"But now I'm president of everybody. I am president of Fifa."

Prince Ali Bin Al, huh? When I knew that monkey-faced fukker in high school he went by "Maz." And he used to whip his balls out on people, squeeze them mad hard, and say "it's the teenage brain on drugs!"
:ohhh:

Walt got a story to tell.
