i actually slept on beans for the longest because i bought The Truth and honestly, the shyt was kinda weak to me. It had a couple of good tracks but after that I thought he couldn't hold a whole album by himself so I didnt check his other albums till years later. and really them next two albums was dope shyt.

that's sad when u think about the track record and the level of artist each are....why didn't this happen tho?seem like people wanted that shyt..And Feel It In The Air is a classic no matter the era...none of that "modern day classic" bullshyt people try to tag newer songs with...this shyt can stand with the "today Wuz A Good Day","Dear Mamas" "Mind Playin Tricks On Me"...its that good,perfect song...hope beans get his proper respect when its all said and done

I think its cause people are different. Some people are light hearted so they like light hearted/party music...while others are more in tuned with deep issues and like introspective music.
Some people have an equal balance. That's why you have a polarization between Tupac and Biggie fans cause the different styles of music attract different personalities.
Just my opinion.
beans def one of the better artists when it comes to this, always wished he was able to stay out of trouble so he could have had his recognition live up to his talent.

I think I have an equal balance hence tonight I was zoning to Beans.
But back in the day I was too young to really appreciate songs like these. I was to drawn to the braggadocios raps of Cam/Jay/Fab in the early part of the decade.
You have to go through things and experience before it connects.
Relating to music makes it that much better.

Agree with the other dudes in this thread that Beans and Face is on another level when it comes to showing pain in their songs.
It's not just the lyrics, many dudes been through strugle and have written tracks about it. But the way Beans and Face use of their voices to show it is just... Damn...
