They better fukking drop down in the 1st and get an extra 2nd on draft night

this is a good trade- not sure why you think its bad

we were never using all 3 first rounders- he took that one and got another first rounder and a second rounder in future years
we still have 2 first rd picks and I wouldnt be shocked if he took number 18 and tried to get an added pick in rud 3 or 4

We stretched the capital out a couple years so we can still eat off this trade in 2024 so

Yeah. It could be. I think I’m smooth on it because it gives Jalen the year he deserves and gives us the capital to either give him more talent if he proves he’s real or replace him if he proves he ain’t.

this is what Howie does......Jalen Hurts you have one year to show and prove (we knew Howie wasnt using all 3 picks anyway)

Plus long term it spreads the re-ups out. If you hit on all 3 picks and they all blow you end up with 3 guys who gon need to get paid all in the same year. Happened with the Saints in our 2017 class.
We got 4 all pro caliber players that draft and 2 of em were taken in the 2nd and 3rd.

I dont think its bad at all. Plus the Saints coming in with a new coach and coordinator and we always prone to some type of in season fukkery

but they were never using all 3 picks- so you defer one of your first to next year (hope the saints or horrible) and you got an extra 2nd rounder out of it
the only way you would get an extra first rounder is if you trade with someone and they get into the top 6...there was no way trading with the eagles at the middle to bottom of the draft, we they getting an extra first rounder

you hit it on the head with the money...in the OFF CHANCE Howie actually hit on all 3 picks, now you gotta pay all 3 premium bread. Saints had a few years I was jealous of them draft picks...im like how come they can get the shiny toys and im left with bum nikkas like Derek Barnett in the first round

Everyone knew we weren't gonna make three first round picks unless no one picked up the phone and it was by force


Flipping 19 for a 2022 3rd, 2023 1st and 2024 2nd is a job well done. Spreads the wealth and maintains flexibility instead of dumping all your chips into one specific class (the history of teams making three first round picks in one draft is ugly for a reason )

Yeah I'm being overly optimistic...that extra draft capital will allow us to target any player we want in the draft or a vet
