Police officer shot in Ferguson, two suspects at large

A police officer has been wounded with a gun shot in the US city of Ferguson, Missouri, a St. Louis suburb still gripped by public outrage over the killing of an unarmed teenager by a cop last month. The police have cordoned off the crime scene.

The police have reported that the two suspects fled on foot. K9 officers and police helicopters are searching the area. Local police have earlier described one suspect as a black male with dreadlocks.

The chase took place outside the Ferguson Community Center. The officer had reportedly blocked a bullet with his bicep, reutrning fire, but not hitting either target.

With mounting public distrust for the police following the initial early August incident, the gathered crowds refused to take any explanation by the authorities at face value.

“A police officer has been shot tonight. That's the only person who has got shot,” Captain Ron Johnson told the crowd which had gathered near the crime scene.

With trust eroded between police and the local community, people doubt the suspect - or suspects - are still alive. There are also reports circulating among the witnesses and citizen journalists at the scene that a civilian was shot or might have been killed by police, but the authorities deny such reports.

“I'm going to ask you to leave, and I'm only asking you one time,” Johnson told an angry crowd of 100 people late Saturday.

Parts of the crowd reportedly broke off to stage a separate protest at the Ferguson police headquarters, but the atmosphere did not escalate.

So results from the autopsy corroborate Officer Wilson's claim that he was attacked by Michael Brown. Also, at least 7 black witnesses have backed Wilson's account to grand jury and say they haven't spoken publicly because of fear.

Had this bytch stumbling over words and shyt, she basically said she couldn't confirm anything that she says the autopsy "supports". Not to mention she had pro darren wilson tweets and was retweeting sites like 'theconservativelighthouse'.

I'd like to hear you discredit the construction workers seen on video after the shooting saying he had his hands up.cac


By the way... where's the medical report of DW injuries since he was beaten so badly? The skin under MB fingernails since he "scratched him on the neck"?

Ferguson needs to get ready for LA/Watt type riots if no charges are filed.

I was thinking about this yesterday on my way home. I've noticed "the youth" of today IMHO had not really had to face the same obtuse racism I had to particularly as we entered into the Obama era of "well the president is black there's no more racism". Racism is now much more low key and easily mistaken for just some rude a$$hole. Ferguson has shed light on a situation that has never really gone away, people just pretended it did.

The "silver lining" (and I use the term with the utmost respect for the Brown family) is that out of this both old and young people are more clearly getting to see that shyt is still very fundamentally broken AND again IMHO the internet is now leading to more visibility. Prior to the Ferguson shooting i'd RARELY see any of those cop shooting people videos and honestly when I did no one else save a few on souls on HL really gave a shyt. NOW though the shyt is a weekly occurrence (as it's always been) just more people are seeing it and it's a little more difficult to write off.

When the LA riots took place they ended in LA because the infrastructure between citizen communication was still a baby, now though the steam behind the frustration and anger doesn't just dissipate, instead when some shyt happens in Cali, some dude in NYC puts a video up of the same shyt, then someone in Georgia then someone OKC. Now all of a sudden these "isolated incidents" of police brutality aren't really that fukin isolated and people start talking.

Oh well that changes everything. Robbing convenience stores and roughing up the store owners is perfectly acceptable as long as the owner doesn't call the police.

The store robbing and the shooting are two separate incident, DARREN WILSON did not know that Mike Brown had assaulted that store owner.

That still doesn't justify either of there actions

i don't doubt they would try. I think they learned from the backlash of the last time they did that in Ferguson. A wrong response to that and it might well be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

not entirely sure to be honest. I'd hope a nationwide conscientious awakening but most likely it'll just be looting in several cities.

I said this in the larger thread but i believe when Darren Wilson gets off there will be major riots in Ferguson but the cops will handle it way different than the first riots , i think they will setup a perimeter around Ferguson and ALLOW the rioting to happen with in the town, they will let the protesters burn & loot whatever they want WITHOUT any intervention by police they will let this happen for a few hours and will use it as there excuse like "you see we didn't instigate nothing and there doing this on there own" i predict that they will also not send fire fighters or other emergency services to the area. This part will be all over the newws

Once enough people have gotten hurt and enough infrastructure destroyed , there will be a cry for help at that point they WILL go in , again this will be there moment to say "we were asked to come in" . This part will be in the news also

This will be there excuse for MASS arrest to be made they will break up all these protest group , allow some to stay behind and continue to protest. This will NOT be on the news.
