They came to a peaceful protest in riot gear with rubber bullets an tear gas...the rioting happened after :camby:

those pigs came out with the K9 unit and M16s and ARs when the initial protest was peaceful.

:camby:
yea, they did. and they ended up needing it :yeshrug:

dont get me wrong, the police shoulda handled this way better since the shot was fired. theres a million things they should and shouldnt have done, and i hope they roast that fukkin pig

im just askin why dudes are surprised about the response to part of a city gettin destroyed, and what you thought was gonna happen

But if they keep them there, this story will get bigger and reach an international level which is what we need.

I feel you but this is still terrible, please don't say such selfish ish like this. Fame won't help get the average joe from that town, his job back after the blockade. You forget this is America, many states are right to work states, employers can fire employee much easier than most industrialized nations, you best believe that many employers probably view the protests quite negatively and won't cut slack for workers.

black entertainers make up less than 1% of the black community. they're irrelevent no matter what they do.
there are more black lawyers and politicians than rappers. those are the people who should be expected to have a voice.

I disagree.. Their influence is very powerful..They just use it for trivial things like European owned clothing labels and selling liquor..

Hey what's ways to getting people together to challenge this? Anybody who has experience organizing, please list some ways to get every day black folks to challenge white supremacy, because I've been going to various churches/groups trying to spark discussion and it seems like the people tlhere are either c00ns/cowards.

Breh, I tried having that convo with dudes at my barbershop and same thing. nikkas is even terrified to speak about action.

Honestly we need to take a trip down there. This ain't the type of thing we can do online.

Seeing our Black elderly marchers protesting too, just hit me. They were silent-protesting and

holding demonstration, decades before any of us were conceived. Here we are in 2014, still fighting

for the same discrimination social injustice (in a "post-racial America") that plagued our people

throughout the inception of AmeriKKKa. I just pray for the safety of all my folks in STL fighting the

good fight right now. And, hope (even tho my cynical pessimistic self expects absolutely nothing) that the assassination of Micheal Brown doesn't go in vain, and leads to some type of change:beli:

What's going on right now is bigger than a job. It's a damn warzone over there. It's not about me being selfish. It's about wanting some progress or some results from all that's going on over there. And keep in mind, this all is happening because the police couldn't do their job. This is merely a response.

:heh:

So you agree your initial wording was incorrect and that the police were in the wrong from the start.

Who is surprised? :what:

As a cac you might be..but as black folk we know all too well the disproportionate response from law enforcement when it comes to us, illustrated perfectly when a fukking officer put 10 bullets in a 17 year old.

Get outta here man with your sideways bullshyt.
