I think the point is that, IF we are to believe they handled the investigation properly and they couldn't prove any illegal behavior than something needs to change so in the future a similar situation will end differently
yeah we can throw "if" shyt way, the place(and eric's investigation was going nowhere ) is corrupted different laws wont change shyt . they already broke laws after laws killing these people, raiding churches and protesters homes

something needs to change but they had plenty opportunity to set an example .....they choose not to, creating no accountability and making a pathway to killing black people that they deem worthless

I've completely given up hope on the justice system to actually enact justice. Especially when it comes to black people.

They create laws and only use them to protect themselves.

"Justice?" More like "just-us".

Michael Brown’s killer will not face federal civil rights charges

The Department of Justice has decided it will not pursue federal civil rights charges against Darren Wilson, the white Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who shot and killed unarmed black teen Michael Brown on Aug. 9, 2014.

Prosecutors had been investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter for months, continuing their work well after a St. Louis County grand jury decided in late November that it would not return an indictment against Wilson, who resigned from the force days later

Department of Justice won’t be charging George Zimmerman

Thursday will be the 3rd anniversary ofTrayvon Martin's murder, and the Department of Justice has announced they will not be filing charges against George Zimmerman.

Six mugshots & a dead teenager but not one law enforcement agency can come to some sort of agreement that he’s a menace to society.

While such another surprise I am so shocked. I guess we will get another peep talk from the president and his administration. Such a joke I tell you. Only time these jokers come around is when it is time to vote or to calm down the black folks.

Like I told folks before even the 4 cops in the Rodney king trial had charges brought up on them by Bush and DOJ after folks tried to burn down LA.

Petitioning Attorney General Eric Holder
This petition will be delivered to:
Attorney General Eric Holder

Create a national database for police shootings
https://www.change.org/p/attorney-g...ings?after_sign_exp=member_sponsored_donation

As a 34-year veteran of the Maryland State Police and Baltimore Police Department, it troubles me that there is no national database to track police shootings of civilians. This means that we don’t know exactly how many people are killed by police each year. And lawmakers and other authorities don't have the information they need when making decisions about policy changes that could save lives.

Currently the best data we have on police killings is from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting but these killings are self-reported by law enforcement and participation in the database is voluntary -- only about 750 agencies contribute to it, a fraction of the 17,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States.

The Department of Justice must create a comprehensive national database of police shooting killings by police to take a step toward preventing more senseless killings. Please sign our petition.

The new database should make reporting of shootings and killings by police mandatory -- and have consequences like loss of federal funding for state and local law enforcement who fail to report this information.

A national database would not only help leaders make good decisions, it would also allow journalists, watchdog organizations and families to have the information we need to hold the police accountable when they kill someone unjustifiably.

In the year 2015, we should have a comprehensive record of how many people police officers kill every year. Please sign my petition to create a database as an important first step to improving policing and saving lives.
