The EMS lieutenant who tweeted a bevy of racist, antisemitic comments has been suspended from his job. FDNY spokesman Frank Gribbon told the Post,"The commissioner's deeply concerned," and added that 12-year-veteran Lt. Timothy Dluhos has been "suspended…without pay."
Dluhos used a portrait of Adolf Hitler for his Twitter avatar, "Bad Lieutenant" (@BKNorthLt), and lamented working with "coloreds" while noting that "chinks can't drive" and calling Mayor Bloomberg "King Heeb." You can read more of his humor here.
After being confronted by a Post reporter, Dluhos was photographed on Saturday wearing a jacket embroidered with the words "Bad Lieutenant" and sobbing on his stoop. “There has got to be a lot worse out there than me,” he said. “My life is ruined. Oh, my God. I’m so sorry.” Confronted again at his apartment yesterday, Dluhos told a reporter, “For my children’s safety, please, you have to leave me alone."

Devonte’s adopted mother Jen Hart (pictured) and her wife are both white. Jen, posted the following message on her facebook, which has since magically disappeared (meaning the entire account), but has been posted on various news outlets since the picture went viral:
“It was one of the most emotionally charged experiences I’ve had as a mother. He trembled holding a Free Hugs sign as he bravely stood alone in front of the police barricade. After a while, one of the officers approached him and extended his hand. Their interaction was uncomfortable at first. He asked Devonte why he was crying. His response about his concerns regarding the level of police brutality towards young black kids was met with an unexpected and seemingly authentic (to Devonte), ‘Yes. *sigh* I know. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.’ The officer then asked if he could have one of his hugs.”
They even had an interview with a New Zealand magazine talking about “Devonte defied all odds” because “by the time he was 4 years old he had smoked, consumed alcohol, handled guns, been shot at, and suffered severe abuse and neglect.” Riiight….So we’re supposed to believe that?
Black people in America are actually living in the type of dystopian societies that white people love reading or going to watch films about … but our rebellion isn’t given two thumbs up.
