It's funny to see people talk about "twitter activism" and about how it isn't effective

Shaw, Ferguson, and this incredible St. Louis university occupation was largely organized on twitter, other social media outlets, and (thankfully) live streams, and if they achieve any part of their goals it will be a huge step. Youth in action.
I haven’t slept before 5am in five days and I’m just an observer in Canada. These protesters are an inspiration and the live streamers are changing the way we follow the real news.

They shut down The Grove (one of the popular nightlife destinations in St. Louis) and are playing hopscotch, twister, jumprope, all kinds of thing. Starting a new hashtag: #TheyThinkItsAGame.

Another group of protesters is having a silent march led by the family of Vonderrit Myers. Brilliant work by the protesters.

He'd probably love to, but who is he going to have to go for a job? A white person who more than likely is going to view him as inferior, especially if they see he's associated with Ferguson.
