Typical cac response;
"Better yet, move the entire case out of Ferguson. I don't think anyone can be impartial there. I don't see racial inequality in this country. Your going to tell how bad it is when our president is black (Obama) and so is our attorney general (Holder) and had a black chief of staff (General Powell) and black secretary of state (Rice under the republicans). Some of the most popular musicians in this country are black (Beyonce and Rihanna). Some of the highest paid athletes are black. I work with blacks and I even have them in my family circle. No, American is not the racist place you are making it out to be. What I don't like is thugs and black thugs are not very popular but since that is Ferguson,s culture, you think the world is against all blacks, when in reality they are against the popular thug culture. America wasn't the only country that had black slaves, we are just the only country still paying for it."

The funny thing is the comment, as frustratingly dumb as it is...showcases the problem with the thought process of many white people in America exactly.
Other than Obama and Eric Holder (who resigned)...he mentions a bunch of athletes and musicians who don't even matter in the long run.
And instead places the blame on "thugs" as if the term "thug" is exclusively applied to black people.
Yes...thugs are indeed the problem.
Not a high unemployment rate amongst black men and women, a system which incarcerates black people at a rate nearly ten times higher than that of whites, a police state that arrests and profiles black people at over half the rate of other races, a segregated educational system from which blacks benefit the least, poor neighborhoods, economic disenfranchisement that has passed on from generation to generation, and a laundry list of other failures provided by this country towards black people.
But let them tell it...it's "thugs" and rap music that's the problem.
I swear, these types absolutely love their token blacks because they can only wrap their minds around sports and entertainment. So they can say "America's not racist...you are" for pointing out the obvious.
As if black athletes, entertainers, and others can possibly negate or erase 400 years of mistreatment, 150 years of disenfranchisement, and almost 50 years of "freedom".
