So what have the peaceful protests accomplished?

Are any charges going to be brought on the police department for censoring the media and all these bullshyt arrests? What would be the timeline on this?

I keep seeing Holder brought up, but realistically, what is he gonna get done?

$225,000 in Crowdfunding Raised to Support Darren Wilson

A crowdfunding site created this week to support Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson and his family continues to rake in donations, but not without backlash against comments made by some of the campaign's donors.
Created on Monday on the site GoFundMe, the campaign had raised over $225,000 as of midday Friday in support of Wilson, who shot and killed unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown on Aug. 9. More than 5,600 people have pledged toward a goal of $250,000. Many donors added remarks while making their donations, some of which were incendiary. GoFundMe responded early Friday on Twitter saying the "comments posted in violation of GoFundMe's terms have been removed."
According to the page, it was "created to support Officer Darren Wilson of the Ferguson Police Department. We stand behind Officer Darren Wilson and his family during this trying time in their lives. All proceeds will be sent directly to Darren Wilson and his family for any financial needs they may have including legal fees."

The 'Go
Brehs who are fed up, drop ideas on the Black Group Economics thread. Venting is venting but we can build, network and foster a community if we put our heads together with solutions.
Point me to the group economics thread, can't find it

Edit: nvm, this is what I get for not wearing my glasses :mjlol:

i'm not talking about most of the world tho. more specifically africa. i know english is spoken down there but how widespread? how widespread throughout certain countries? how widespread throughout the cities and neighborhoods? i saw big brother africa and that was english i could understand, but i've been in african establishments where they were talking another language as well.

more imput from actual africans who lived there would be valuable.

What you probably heard when at those establishments were their native tongue. Each African country essentially consists of many tribes and ethnic groups, many of them with their own languages. Some of the groups are large in numbers and thus their languages are more widespread.

As for English, in the countries I mentioned (and those that have English as their official language in the link I provided), English is very widespread in the big cities and surrounding areas. Sometimes you might here pidgin English, which is, for a lack of a better example at the moment, their version of ebonics. The further away from the main cities you are, the more prevalent people's native tongue will be. However, even those from outside the main cities will know some English regardless.

Hope this helps, fam.
