Hey man I'm out in CA but I'm listening to this HOT 104 mess and I'm ashamed that I've listened to more than 3 minutes of this outright c00nery. Man if you don't call these folks Toms I don't know what to say.
There is a genuine discussion to be had about community reaction to murder by police officers. I certainly appreciate both sides presented and it is something that needs to be ongoing. HOWEVER, there's this bullshyt. Feel like I'm middle of the road. I certainly think that these things need to be handled intelligently (and, again, what that is is up for debate) and with an appreciation for history but placating and excusing the police for their conduct and handling of this matter is inexcusable. Talkin bout we aren't even gonna be talking about the murder anymore. nikka you're on the radio! Keep talking about it!
IF you are out, brothers please be safe. I hope ALL of us will continue work in our respective ways so that these events don't occur again. And I hope we can all understand that the debate about these things has been happening since the days of chattel slavery and it's no easy matter to settle.
