And yet Wu Tang is forever :wow:
As a huge Wu fan, Wu Tang is only really forever as a well marketed logo and legacy act. If we are being real there isn’t much togetherness in the Wu musically and they drop far more duds than solid projects. This once again is coming from someone who plays Wu weekly still but nothing really past the 2000s.

The crew itself was never that impressive. I'm a fan of Rocky, then Ferg to some degree. Nast was good, Twelvy was okay.

The ASAP Mob projects they dropped were cool but more like compilations. I don't think they were ever important as a group.

Like if they announced a mob album today (with or without Ferg) is it going to have any impact?

disrespectful comparing the failure of them ASAP nikkas :dahell: the scoreboard isn't remotely close, mellowhype/Mike g/domo are the only ones who make sense.

everyone else was way more successful and for damn sure put out more projects than Ferg that had motion

Tyler was the ONLY one out of that group who genuinely wanted/still wants famous attention, so he operates in the mainstream space, Frank/Earl/Internet never showed interest beyond wanting certain collabs, but you're comparing everyone to Tyler's standard he set for himself

it's 2025 and y'all still ignore the fact everyone isn't aiming for the same goal :mjlol: they've all been on the same time since the very beginning and been vocal about it. Let's actually look at how things played out

Your Internet take is plain wrong, 2nd album Mac Miller put them on display for the world and they started getting recognized outside of OF, that's when they had the most energy behind them and music greats started mentioning them, idk what expectations you had for it to be a flop, it you wanna say commercially cool, but culture wise nah that was their come up moment

3rd album they got a Grammy nomination, how did that happen when by your timeline they had already fumbled? :francis: cmon koalabreh

Their momentum got fukked up because after that all of them nikkas went and did solo projects with different sounds so the fanbases got split and disjointed. Steve Lacy took off, Syd preferred running the studio they built and writing/producing for other, bigger artists (beyonce, Glover, etc.) so it died down by the time the 4th album came

Frank Ocean is on D'Angelo time, unless he puts out a project and it flops we can't put a flat top on him :yeshrug: no idea why you even mentioned his name considering he pulled the biggest major label finesse of the last 20 years on his last one, that just sounds like you're a fan and arbitrarily put him on a clock

There isn't a single rap goat that doesn't know who Earl is, that man had a kid and decided he'd rather rap in the cut over dusty beats in like doom and live a regular life,

Oh and the OTHER half of nikkas that don't make music are currently in film working on major shows :mjlol: Nakel still sponsored for skating and fashion brands, Sage quit photography and actually turned into a successful unground rapper

It is not close at all holy shyt :dead: don't ever compare those two groups again
you a Odd Future historian lmaoo

Rocky was the only one with real charisma and he fell off.
After the drama with Ty Beats and SGP, I knew it was a matter of time.
Then Yams died...
Then Rocky dropped ALLA and it was like... this ain't the same dude who dropped Peso.
Then Testing dropped. I remember when this dropped:

Was like the end credits to his rap career. A$AP was finished as a crew in '15.
