The reason for that is because too many people are more worried about the source of the information than whether it is true. Some sources, left leaning, will try their best not to report on the issue. So sometimes the only way you really will hear about it is from a neutral source, or a right leaning source. It is the same sort of mess fox news does by hiding information from its viewers, who refuse to look at any source considered left leaning.

In the end, both sides have captive audiences who know very little about the malfeasance being done by their side's political leaders and officials. Both arguing with each other, blind to the fact that their own heroes have closets full of skeletons too. The funny part to me is, both will turn and hate the independents who point out the bullshyt being done by either side.
