2) Felix Hernandez 4.4
3) Chris Sale 3.9
4) Jake Peavy 3.8
7) Jered Weaver 3.1
AL tERA leaders
1) Price 3.42
2) Hernandez 3.47
3) Verlander 3.54
4) Weaver 3.58
5) Sale 3.64
K/9 of same pitchers
1) Verlander 8.86
2) Hernandez 8.73
3) Sale 8.25
4) Peavy 8.03
5) Weaver 6.9
This year: Verlander>Felix (very slightly, almost a wash though). Felix>Weaver by a more noticeable margin.
Where are you getting your WAR stats from? Even though I would expect Felix to have a higher WAR since Weaver spent time on the DL this year, both ESPN and baseballreference have Weaver with a higher WAR this year.[/B] Weaver leads the league in ERA, WHIP, hits per 9 innings, and adjusted ERA. No way you can spin that into Felix having a better year so far, especially not with that home ballpark he plays in.
Id take him over Jered in a heartbeat. Jered is nice but Felix just has that potential where if hes on he is virtually unhittable. Jered is never THAT good
Tru story. But he's only 26 and in 2 years at age 28 he will be a free agent. Dude is about to break the bank and be out of Seattle. So I don't feel bad for him![]()
