Same situation? They wouldn't be thugs either. They'd be drug dealers as well. The problem in the black community is it's an open air drug market that is usually entails large amounts of violence. And if you aren't involved in that aspect, your character and authenticity is questioned.

While white people do get hella preferential treatment in the judicial system. I agree with this. White people don’t use violence when it comes to selling drugs. So the noise factor of their trafficking is minimal. Black people use straight violence to sell drugs and hold down territories. And from the article look like majority of them had no straps which makes any drug case 2-3x more severe.
