Not sure about polar bears.........but that video is great...it breaks it down in laymen's term. I mean to the point a 5th grader could understand this subject.....worth a watch listen, no diagrams or anything....just plain spoken information.....

All of this audit Fed stuff is done to feed the propaganda machine by people worried about losing their seats. There is a huge whitewash going on, to shield the perpetrators of the crash - congress and wall street. All they have been doing is pointing the finger at anyone else they can.

If you put auditors over them, then who's to check the auditors? It makes no sense. It's as if they are assuming something suspect might happen at the Fed. What would that be? Doctoring the employment rates? That would seem impossible to do. Besides, for people claiming to be worried about Big Government, it's pretty hypocritical to start building a superstructure like this. During the Bush years, the Republicans were overflowing in scandals. Who oversees them? It's pretty ridiculous that these fools can pretend to take on the Fed for honesty.

I firmly believe that the Fed economists are the good guys. I don't think they should ever be politically affiliated. Even though they probably tend to have conservative backgrounds, their work is mostly apolitical. I don't see how watching the inflation rate, the GDP or unemployment has anything to do with politics. This is obviously just another sham diversion by the real bad guys - congress. Congress has the keys to steer the economy off the looming fiscal cliff but they aren't doing anything about it. Meanwhile, the Fed is throwing the kitchens sink (Quantitative Easing) in an attempt to keep this economy afloat with zero help from congress. And where is congress? passing the buck. Unfortunately a lot of dummies in the electorate, as evident by this thread, will swallow it hook, line and sinker. The anti-Fed movement is, to me, a pretentious game to try wire up the public. Unfortunately, it works on Joe the Plumber (remember that guy?). Codeword: Archie Bunker.

:lawd:

People have no idea exactly how much input Congress has in how everything in this country works, as compared to say, a President.

Congress plays politics and passes the buck on every big issue that could possibly effect keeping their seat.

***REMEMBER that the House passed the BILL TO AUDIT THE FEDERAL RESERVE
Federal Reserve Audit Bill Overwhelmingly Passes The House

WASHINGTON -- In a rare moment of bipartisanship, the House overwhelmingly passed a bill by Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) to audit the Federal Reserve.

The bill (H.R. 459), which has 270 co-sponsors, passed 327 to 98. All but one Republican -- Rep. Bob Turner of New York -- voted for it, along with 89 Democrats.

:ohhh:

it will never happen.

but if the people see this and get involved...

then again "that" will never happen :ld:

:edit: after further reading through this thread it seems some people want the feds to be unregulated...or that they are the good guys :rudy:

look while I don't think all government is good, some is necessary...regulating or even ending it is a great idea.
U cant have an agency controlling the money flow and setting policy unchecked.

please enlighten us on what "that" is.....
If u didn't heavily edit my post, u would see that the "that" I'm referring to is the people taking an interest and demanding the fed be audited.

Everyone wants change but the people aren't willing to do what's necessary for this change. They expect everything to be done for them.

The Fed should not be allowed to set policy over money unchecked by anyone. U got trillions of dollars missing from the bank bailout. There is a reason why damn near every President that has spoken out against them has been killed.

It doesnt always happen but from time to time president have put their ass on the line and told the people whats real (industrial military complex or secret societies). People forget its our job to check the government. Like I said though that will never happen bc people are to busy fighting over gay marriage and bullshyt like that.

the average american has no idea what the federal reserve does. and you just prove it. Thank god the democrats are opposing this bill.

Today, the Federal Reserve's duties fall into four general areas:

-conducting the nation's monetary policy by influencing the monetary and credit conditions in the economy in pursuit of maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates

-supervising and regulating banking institutions to ensure the safety and soundness of the nation's banking and financial system and to protect the credit rights of consumers

-maintaining the stability of the financial system and containing systemic risk that may arise in financial markets

-providing financial services to depository institutions, the U.S. government, and foreign official institutions, including playing a major role in operating the nation's payments system

Is this not what the fed does? That's from their website. With all the power they have shouldn't the government or at least the people be allowed to see their books...bc it seems to me with all the shyt they are in charge of they are doing a shytty job. They have had 2 financial collapses on their hands since their inception. That alone suggestion they should not be operating outside of government.
