what does @The Nigerian know about black people, or parenting?

University of New Hampshire sociologist Murray Straus has published multiple studies concluding that children who are spanked are less successful as adults. If the link is causal—that is, if being spanked actually lowers your earnings potential—and if spanking runs in families, then we have an alternative explanation for Weinberg's numbers: Low-income parents are more likely to spank their children because low-income parents are more likely to have been spanked themselves.
For decades a long and distinguished list of experts has denounced spanking as ineffective, even dangerous. Ineffective, they say, because it only teaches a child to fear his parents, not to respect them, and dangerous because using force can injure a child and warp his understanding of how to interact with others: namely, that it's okay to hit someone to get your own way. And experts warn that children who have this antisocial lesson beaten into them are more likely to exhibit violent behavior later in life. So why is there still a massive disconnect between what experts advise and what parents do?
if you can't discipline your child without beating them, you have more problems to worry about than your kid acting "out of line", thats your child, not some person off the streets.
breh ! got 4 k!ds, do parent!ng classes weekly, got years put !n & complet!on cert!f!cates, ! know all about th!s sh!t from experience & tra!n!n wh!le you pull!n up stat vids.... half the stats worthless to an average person look!n for relatable/mean!ngful !nfo, the fukk ! care about all that sh!t for breh..... not challenged a b!t & you dont even know my current stance on th!s.... mak!n assumpt!ons, youre the fukk!n dummy....Okay, what part was bullshyt? The part that cited all the peer-reviewed data to back up the claims that were made in the video? The part that corroborates everything that I've posted in this thread? Or is it just your reaction that's bullshyt?
Can't stand to have your thinking challenged, dummy?
It's not really that simple though. Each child is different. Kids are smarter than you think once they know how much they can get away with they'll keep pushing. So when the only punishment is something like grounding or time outs...they'll become even more out of control. I've seen good people struggling with their misbehaved kids and it's really sad to see. So I'm not gonna knock people that use the hand or the belt. Sometimes that's the only way to get the point across, especially when you've tried all the other methods.
Bro, you're sitting here on a board defending beating your child to get them to listen to?! do you realize how silly you sound?
making your child fear you isn't the way to go about them growing up to be respectful, loving, and compassionate human beings.
yeah, your kid might behave better because you got them shook, but is it really worth it?
i got beat as a kid, and i honestly believe it has had some negative affects on me.
Nigerian the type of nikka to freak out and stuff a kid in a washing machine, "I can't take it dude!! I can't freakin take it! Why won't you listen to me?! The manual says, if i do this, then you should do this!! fukk Spongebob dude!!"
These people clearly can't be reasoned with. Their children will be less competitive as a result.http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/everyday_economics/2002/12/beat_on_the_brat.html
