I think maybe you misread me.

My perspective as a 30 year old man is entirely different. When I was 16 I most definitely would have consensually hooked up with a hot early 20's teacher. In my mind it would be consensual. I wouldn't want them to catch a statutory rape charge over it though. At 30, if I had a 16 year old son and he slept with a grown female teacher, a small part of me would want to high five my son, but I know there would be a big parental side that felt like my son was being taken advantage of. At 30 you realize that for a 16 and 21 hookup to happen, there has to be a level of control on the adult's part that is manipulative and not okay. A teacher having a fantasy of hooking up with a student is one thing, but when it becomes real life it's not good. No matter how much I would have loved to bang Ms. Green when I was a young buck.

If I had a 16 year old daughter and a male teacher hooked up with her, well then I fully acknowledge that double standard and I would want to rip the male teacher to pieces with my bare hands.

I definitely understand that our life span is longer and that modern medicine, nutrition, and technology is allowing us to live longer lives, and that the need for humans to have functioning sexuality at an earlier age was necessary for the species to survive.

I still think that a 16 year old (especially a female, yes double standard) fukking anyone more than 2-3 years older is a little weird. You pass a 4 year age difference and I think it's definitely not cool at all. When I was a senior I even thought senior/freshman relationships were strange. 21 and 16 wouldn't be okay to me. 18 and 23 is the same age gap but for some reason I don't feel as bad about it. 20 and 25 I don't feel weird at all about.

I'm not saying any of this is rational. It's just a gut feeling.

you do realize 16-18 year olds sneak (especially females) into frat houses/sorority house parties all the time and their are 21-22 year olds there, lol. ID check needs to be ran now?!?! I see this from a college perspective and I doubt someone would know age. why would a 21year old into Greek life be responsible for a 16-18year old coming onto campus?


haha...you went for the double standard. you really went for it as it came to son/daughter. "societal norms" control everything and people routinely fall into the trap. Angelina Jolie is 39 and Brad Pitt is 51 aka 18&30....society just gets comfortable with age gaps over time, get arbitrary beyond puberty imo.


i'm in my late 20's....if I go to grad school a girl being 18years old doesn't seem weird to me and I doubt it would even phase parents especially me being beyond undergraduate education. image counts for a lot.

I'm so confused. Am I being trolled? Man, I'm not arguing with you. I know girls sneak into frat houses and college parties, and date and fukk college guys. I get that. Where did I ever suggest that people in Greek Life should be checking IDs at the door. That's silly and unrealistic. Young girls are gonna fukk older guys and young guys are gonna fukk older girls. It's a part of life. I'm not suggesting we treat the older parties as criminals or force them to check for IDs on everyone they go to bed with.

I did go for the double standard. I acknowledge that it doesn't really make much sense. a 16 year old is a 16 year old. If I had 2 16 year old kids, one male and one female, and one ended up sleeping with someone that was 22, I'd rather it be my son and not my daughter. Not by a lot, but just a little. I realize it may not make sense. I didn't fall into a trap. I said in my last post that it was a double standard/societal norm but I was riding with it anyways.

I agree, age gaps totally get arbitrary once adulthood starts. No one gives a shyt about 30 and 40, but 17 and 27? People start caring. I agree with you on that. And yeah, you being in school and dating someone else in your school isn't going to be looked at all that funny. You're in a shared social environment and you're both adults.

Again, they are investigating Jared because the child porn file they found on the guy in custody, was named "Jared foundation". You have to investigate someone if they worked for someone, and now illegal files is in that folder! I would do it too. It doesn't mean Jared actually has child porn on his computers, they are just investigating based on what they found on the original perpetrator. It's part of the game. I can't believe I have to explain this shyt. Yall people better not do any crimes, because it would be easy to get yall., you don't know how law, and precudures, work.

Now, he is found guilty! That was the point of the investigation.

My point was he wasn't found guilty, but everyone already was convinced he was guilty. That is very dangerous to do, because if we find people guilty just because police are at their house, and investigating based on someone they know, people lives would be ruined. The news always did stuff like this so I guess it's just the way it is now. I remember they painted tupac out to be guilty of raping that chick, even though the charges made no sense based on the investigation findings. People were calling him a rapists just based on him being charged with rape, not found guilty.

I just don't think you should assume someone guilty with no formal investigation being done.
