They say this EVERY year. 
quit hiring them ..Intelligence officials are sounding the alarm over the increasing possibilities of attacks at “mass gatherings such as sports stadiums, concert venues, or houses of worship in the United States” like concerts by ISIS and even “lone wolves.” The FBI is particularly concerned about potential “copycat” attacks similar to the mass shooting at a Russian concert hall last month. This comes just days before millions of people will be gathering to watch the Solar Eclipse in dozens of cities across the US.

The fact our government has warned so many other countries of attacks that eventually did happen (like the one last October in Israel) means that if something were to happen by an organized group, I really find it difficult to believe we were caught off that bad. Think of how many attacks after 9/11 this country has snuffed out - and our tech has only gott better.
Some group will have to either have so much intel on our infrastructure or somebody on the inside is letting them know how to attack it.
Single perpetrators who go on shooting sprees? Much more difficult to stop.
