I did an interview with him in lockup while on contract for WBAI, some years ago. I think the kid has mental problems that he's trying to overcome, I hope he comes out ok, he's seemed to try to put it together.

people need to DETRIOT RED was a troubled soul before he got converted in prison... so i give the benefit of the doubt with his grandson. yes at age 12 he was f*cked in the head, but his mama didn't have it all herself, especially witnessing her father getting riddled with bullets right in front of her...
since malcolm shabbaz (the grandson's) completed parole... dude turned his life around with a degree and been an activist. needless to say, the FBI keeps tabs on EVERYONE related to malcolm x. and with NDAA, it gives them the power to scoop the lil homie up for no reason except to ask questions and harassment.

I'm not sure if there is more to the story, maybe some bodies or something along those lines. It's a pretty odd story. At the same time he was on the run for 6 years by the sounds of it.
