Duck was absolutely a hitter. She he shot back at the shooters and I think his gun jammed.
And nobody left anything alone. They never stopped killing each other. Duck was the biggest rapper left standing from that side and they was still dissing on tracks back and forth

Duck obviously wasn't on the same time as Von if you just look at the music side of things by itself.
Von would have never made a Chicago Legends. Just watching interviews, Duck was not a savage who wanted to see O Block completely destroyed. He knew there was no end game in that.

I’m not bias on either side. The chi legends was just to try to stop the blockage on the music industry.
He said he was told no on deals and features cause guys didn’t wanna alienate themselves from durk and the bds. It was some political shyt to try and get his foot in the door.
But the other side understood tho.

Hell no, unfortunately for him the gds was never able to get they foot in the door and the bds did so he needed to play that political game to try to get in.
The way I see it, only way Duck could've really circumvented the black balling was to get a cosign from a mega star like birdman drake or kanye. Particularly early in his career.
Kinda Like how 50 got the dr dre and EM cosign even though the rest of NY wasn't messing with him due to Irv and Murder inc.
But it really seems like the whole industry was on OTF/Glo gang's jock. And by the time duck had a big single, the bds already established relationships and connections in the music game. (Well their connections in the music game probably go even further than this era but that's another story right there)
