It doesn't matter. If your marriage is dependent on it being something special or you need all kinds of extra shyt then you're already failing. I proposed to my wife in the bedroom when she got home from work. I went to the pawn shop and got a ring. Brought it home and asked her to marry me when she got home. A few weeks later we went to Vegas and got married during a trip we already had planned. We've been married going on 14 years now.
