If documentaries count then When we were kings is my clear number 1
did any of u guys watch the tv show lights out on fx a few yrs ago...it was pretty good although it only lasted one season due to low ratings
i wish it woulda been renewed because it had great characters and was great to see a tv drama that showed the slimy part of boxing / promoters etc...i suggest checking it out if you havent seen it... even tho it was only 1 season it kinda of closed on the finale so it wasnt much of a cliffhanger
this shyt was unbelievable for a doc..my gf is not a fan of boxing..she had heard of this from her father who's really into black history..i burned a dvd for her and she pretty much watches at least once a monthUnforgivable blackness
When we were kings will always be my number one and hold a special place for me given my father grew up on those fighters and introduced me to them and the documentary. Also the james brown concert .id count it and another one that came out some years back on kassim ouma "Kassim the Dream"..was powerful stuff breh
check out champion before you change energies and dimensions
as the op said, real hard core OG
saw Ali but never owned a copy until last week.
I saw this after your recommendation...it was ok...very melodramatic like most Kirk Douglas films
Finally watched The Fighter
Still some mentioned in the thread I still got to get to.
i appreciated what jake did in the gym to look the part but yeah the movie was just ok..the same way i felt about against the ropes..omar epps looked like a straight up killer but the movie was oksaw southpaw yesterday..it was ok ..not bad but not great
