Favorite lightsaber duel? (STAR WARS Episodes 1-6)

The Bespin duel in Empire gets my vote for having the coolest setting and the GOAT plot twist. Return of the Jedi also had the GOAT heroic sacrifice.
Phantom Menace was the best of the prequel fights IMO.
Note: I'm only counting Episodes 1-6, the sequels never happened. (George Lucas Star Wars >>>)

Prequels have WOAT duels aside from The Phantom Menace finale, which is still like 60% because of the music

I've been saying for years that the prequel fights were too overchoreographed for their own good. The Anakin vs Obi Wan duel tried to do WAY too much.

I think the Anakin vs Dooku Duel and Mace vs Palpatine fights are underrated though.
I like how both fights run parallel to Return of the Jedi.

When Anakin had Dooku dead to rights, he had a choice to either spare his life or kill him in their anger, just like Luke with Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi. And both cases, both Skywalkers were fighting the dude that cut their hand off.

When Mace fought Palpatine and Anakin showed up, Palpatine started using his lightning.
Anakin was forced to choose between either saving the Jedi (Mace), or siding with Palpatine. He joined Palpatine and the rest is history.
...At the end of Return of the Jedi, Vader/Anakin is faced with the EXACT same choice when Palpatine starts torturing Luke. That time around, Anakin made the right choice.

Anyhow, the Bespin Duel in Empire is still the GOAT IMO.
It gave us the GOAT quotables, the GOAT setting, and the GOAT plot twist.

Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul

My favorite part isn't even the fighting. I like when Qui-Gon and Darth Maul are cut off by the laser doors. Darth Maul keeps pacing back and forth like a predator looking at prey. Qui-Gon kneels down calmly and keeps his composure. Cool moment.

Still fukk Liam Neeson.

Phantom Menace last duel between Quigon , Obiwan and Darthmaul. This is my favorite because of the mood and setting. The background hazards. It was all so futuristic you know you were watching a Starwars movie.

The music.

The silent parts.

The stare off like a spaghetti Western.

ROTS had the best duels. Palpatine bodying 3 Jedi Masters in seconds and still losing to Mace Windu is some of the best power scaling Ive ever seen in a movie, lets you know hands down that Mace was a PROBLEM

Obi Wan vs Anakin on Mustafar is the best choreographed and most emotional battle in the whole series.

Its not from the movies but the Kenobi series battle between Armored Vader and Flabby Wan Kenobi where Anakin drags him through the fire was dope af to me too

Prequels era duals all the way. It was the height of force users utilizing the force after centuries of learning and practicing. It showed why the Jedi weren't to be fukked with because they were doing shyt others could not even imagine. In turn, hubris ended up being their downfall for they were just one extreme of the force as were the sith

Prequels have the best duels, the emotion of the luke vs vader duel in empire, combine with the father revalation and the sword being better then the first movie puts it at number 1 for me.
