THe design of this belt is a slap in the face to the superior nwa belt. Which was the best cosmetic title design consistently promotion to promotion.
It was consistently the best title consistently on tv. That is why people loathe the design to this one. As wwe never showed any real care. or wherewithal to quality with the wcw acquisition. Plus tried to bury all the good as well. Hence why big gold is not in use right now as well.

Well I wasn't old enough to watch NWA and I was a WWF kid.. so I never watched WCW.
