In fact some of us had this joint hung over the dinner table.
This one of my favorite paintings actually. I love how "Jesus" in the center has his back turned to the camera leaving his face to your own interpretation. One of the best works of African American art.

Breh, I remember me and all my cousins being rounded up by our parents and asked who we each interpreted in the painting, just as an exercise.
Man, that 80s/90s era of African American paintings was great. This one along with the Budweiser African Kings and Queens serious was EVERYWHERE in NYC back in the day.
And lol at Yvette Carnell or Tariq Nasheed being behind the camera
