Shocking New Details Emerge in Adil Dghoughi’s Tragic Killing
Denver - The unjustified shooting of Adil Dghoughi still weighs heavy on the hearts of many, as loved ones demand accountability for the slaying of the 31-year-old.
Adil Dghoughi was shot and killed Monday, October 11, in what relatives are now describing as an “execution-style” slaying. Adil, described as a “friendly and outgoing” person by his girlfriend Sarah Todd, was murdered less than thirty minutes after leaving her residence early Monday morning.
Sarah and Adil, who met in Austin, Texas, were together for nearly a year and a half prior to Monday’s shooting.
“He was the kind of person that could be anywhere and never be a stranger,” Todd told Morocco World News describing Dghoughi.
According to Todd, Adil departed from her home in Maxwell, Texas at roughly 3:07 AM. Just 23 minutes later, emergency services received a phone call reporting Adil had been shot at 101 Tina’s Trail in Martindale, an adjacent city. The shooter, 65-year old Terry Turner, allegedly walked up to Adil’s window where he shot him “point-blank” with his gun.
Although reported as a “confrontation” by the sheriff’s office press release Monday, sources report Adil’s window was rolled up at the time of the shooting, indicating Turner exchanged little to no words with Adil before killing him.
Local police in the small Texas town have provided little detail on the situation, and investigators are reportedly ignoring phone calls from friends, family, and concerned citizens.
According to sources familiar with the case, while Dghoughi was parked in Turner’s driveway, his windows remained locked and his car was in reverse at the time of the shooting.
Relatives believe the 31-year old was likely attempting to find a signal for his GPS at the time he was shot and killed near Turner’s residence. According to online public records, Turner is an electrician and sources believe he shares personal ties and is neighbors with police officers in the town.
