No. I gathered from the trailers of the game that the combo format was similar to KOFXIII with EX special moves being cancellable into each other and went from there and started experimenting a bit live. I haven't even watched any combo videos or anything either. There's deeper combos to be done for sure and that would come with time or a true training mode for sure.

But it's pretty simple to put together an effective combo or two if you've ever played a couple fighting games before. I mean, like one or two tops between their different styles/subgenres should give you a gist of how the formats play. Take a moment to understand their individual mechanics and just start jumping from there. The critical aspects of fighters mostly carries over with overlap at the very least to an intermediate level.

You learn the concept going through the tutorial mode. Yea its Rock in the tutorial but the concepts still apply to the other characters.
