I think another team probably compromised of both SNK and Capcom folks are brainstorming or will work on CVS3.
SNK stands the most to gain out of this, but even with another 4 years support of SF6 and city of the wolves.... They'll need something to keep it fresh and nothing better for both companies than a CVS3.
I know another KOF is in the works, but skipping on CVS3 would be a huge miss, also it would also them to test new mechanics for a street fighter 7 or whatever comes next.
Maybe a Snk vs Capcom will happen, made by SNK. But i don't see Capcom "wasting" time on CVS when they have a new Marvel vs Capcom to make, while still having SF6 to take care of.
CVS3 made a lot of sense 15 years ago, but now ? Capcom is not playing in that ballpark anymore, SNK is too "niche" nowadays. And i say that as a big SNK fan.

SNK was always niche in the states but was/is huge in the latin america and asia.
CvS3 or whatever name it takes is definitely happening, but its gonna take a while. Ryu even says so in world tour. Capcom doesnt need a full staff for DLC and the main team is probably on to other projects, and if its CvS they only need half the team.
As for marvel god damn i wish people would shut the fukk up about that franchise. They had MvCi right there which was better than 3 but let every streamer shyt on it because chun’s face.

Depending on how this agreement works we may not see SF7 for a while. CvS could be supported for twice the time with the roster they could pull from with DLC.
So that’s the only reason why that game flopped

And because it wasnt Mahvel 2 or 3. Active tag hands down was the better system along with the stones.
If boomers werent bytching so much about muh character and Combofiend had fukking media training we couldve gotten 4 seasons and graphics patch. Ill save my rant and eventual negs for the unpopular opinions thread though.
