LOL there's no reason to try and fight it... NYC and South Florida culture have always been like this. The Boricuas in NYC say the word freely and the Chico's in Florida do as well. And be around black folk all day. As far as I know, when you're arrested/booked, the agency determines it. And from what I've seen, almost all other ethnicities that aren't black just get categorized under 'white'. It is pretty much only black and white in those systems. I think I've even seen Asians in arrest records being listed as white. Who knows... but he definitely didn't choose what they wrote in the system.
