Necro did an interview recently saying when he battled at the 1994 DMC battle the only 2 people in the crowd cheering for him were Fat Joe and Stretch Armstrong
"Mmmmm, he so gangsta"
Fam nikkas was playing Hit Em Up in NY at the height of the beef. I remember my whole JR high was Pac fans and I’m from Brooklyn.
I thought fat joe said nas peaced it up with Jay-Z first and ain’t even tell joe who had been riding with nas.Fat Joe lost thecoli after he started shyttin on nas and siding with Hov
Before that, he was the most gangster rapper who picked the best beats on albums
You can disagree with Joe musically, and as a white Puerto Rican saying nikka, but you can't front on his pedigree as a man and as a street cat. One of the few street rappers that actually was knee deep in the culture and movement of Hip Hop. Not every cat in the street gives a shyt about Hip Hop like that and not every person in the industry either.
Dude Napoleon from outlaws himself said it. Why would fat joe position himself asking them if they wish to play the song "hit em up" hoping they wouldnt play it and saying he has his back by lying on some chess move? It's not like fat joe was by himself and also it was already bad for Outlaws as far as industry respect and as far as their music not getting love and radio industry everywhere not reaching out to them and why stir the pot singing that song anyway?I don’t believe that hit’em up conversation. I just can’t fathom Joe saying he cool with them performing that song and this was 03 (based on the timeline on when what’s luv dropped). I believe Joe showed love but ain’t no way he would okay performing “Hit’em up” in New York.
Coli said Joe’s a fraud.
shyt, Joe got Common out of a jam when Mack 10 and his crew bumped into Common and they was bout to get at Common. Fat Joe basically said "not on my watch". And I think this was in LAOnly Coli weirdos question Fat Joe. Same people that question J Prince, though...not much logic behind their shyt.
Coli said Joe’s a fraud.
This cracka hereDamn, these replies are disgusting,. "Mmmmm, he so gangsta"
Salute Fat Joe tho, he was the lone puerto rican star in rap, all the puerto rican street guys wanted to be a part of his movement.
