The problem is the leaders of these high fashion movements are typically some scrawny homosexual cac whos zooted out of his mind on pills, liquor and other drugs who one day comes up with an idea to say fukk it, lets not match, and everyone follows. It doesn't matter. No one is going to see it anyway. If the tie doesn't have a loop at all (I've never seen that) use a tie bar if you feel so inclined or leave it wavy.
Tie bars scream 'trying too hard and I get all my dress cues from Mad Men and GQ' though
