If the director is disowning their flick before it drops what more evidence do u need? That's for people criticizing RT. usually when the score is in the 50 - 70 percent range it's a toss up but when a rating leans so far one way it's probably accurate.

The run time on this is a dead give away. This is a stand alone origins flick so it should be a minimum of 2 hours. Instead it's like 90 minutes. Ant Man was a little longer but they got away with it because ant man is a piece to a bigger puzzle.

This movie was fukked from the beginning by how they cast the main characters. Wallace wasn't the best choice but if u gonna make that radical a change to the source material you gotta have a killer story and script. Fox is just lazy. They really think people will show up to any comic book movie now a days just because it's a super hero flick. I hope audiences don't fall into this trap and make it number 1 this weekend :mjpls:

There it is :banderas:

The perfect example of the mcu fan boyism.

Lets judge and nitpick every non mcu film by a set of standards that we wont apply to mcu films because reasons.

Always.

ALWAYS an excuse as to why its not okay for a non mcu film to do it but its accectable for mcu.

MCU stan on fox or sony film character that differs from comics "they ruined this character, why do they have to change things from the comics give the rights to marvel":scusthov:

You got Trank literally admitting to the movie being a wreck as he cops pleas on Twitter desperately trying to salvage what's left of his rapidly declining career yet people still want to insist on saying "It can't be that bad"? :russ:

I mean, if you want to make up your own mind about it, that's fine (I'll probably check it later tonight) but let's not pretend the signs weren't everywhere on this one. But certain mahfukkas had to keep insisting it's Marvel Studio bias that had people turning on this movie like this shyt didn't look like it was gonna be a trainwreck the moment it left the station.

"It can't be bad, it's gotta be stans and 'cism!" :mjlol:

Good to see @Prodigal Syndicate still fighting the good fight :heh:

If you got a check and your name is credited, this is your mess :dahell:

The pleas... oh nikkas, the pleas :mjlol:
Straight up...if he really felt this strongly then he could have just pulled an "Alan Smithee" and got out months ago.
Waiting till the film is out and getting savaged by the critics seems lame.

Marvel is the gold and platinum standard.

Marvel hasn't had to reboot characters.
Marvel didn't need to make a sequel with time travel to help erase past fukk ups.

I'm making comparisons but I can compare it to DC as well. DC is at least cohesive. And consistent. DC is mediocre but consistent.

Fox fukked up FF twice then they reboot it and fukk it up even more.

Mcu is more like the bronze standard. Yeah its not completely awful, but its not great either. You hold non mcu films to a standard that you dont for mcu films. Its a fact. So do all the other fan boys on here. You dudes will bend over backwards defending the mediocre cinematic universe.

DOFP>>>>>>any mcu film,easily.

Matter of fact, spider man 2>>>>>>>any mcu film easily.

for the most part he was nice lil piece in that wack ass FF 2 shyt but that it
one of the most powerful boring ass characters ever g
He's essentially Superman with less humanity. A solo movie could most definitely be done.

But not by Fox.

They gonna have to keep this. It really needs like a decade or 2 off before anyone attempts a FF4 movie again.
If that happens then the rights do revert back to Marvel seeing that a FF film has to go into production every 6-7 years?
Highly unlikely Fox will let that happen so expect another one in the foreseeable future even if it's straight to VOD and/or a tax write-off for them.
They can't afford to shelve it very long.

Capitalism at its finest. I don't care if they have the rights but the thing that irks me is the fact that they don't care about the product. All they care about is generating revenue and put shyt out just for the sake of doing it. If you don't care eventually it's gonna come back to bite and you gonna end up losing money which defeats the purpose of holding on in the first place.

Eventually? It seems FOX has arrived at the point. Will this make $? I doubt it.

@IllustratorMike what if FOX does nothing with it and it reverts back to Marvel/Disney do they have a certain time period to do something or is it their's forever?

If Marvel is fortunate enough to get back "their baby", they can do with it what they want. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to go right into production with a new FF movie but they could use the characters in their other properties.
