The Jack Moves and Leon Bridges are probably top 5 albums for me this year. The both did their research of the classic soul sound and put out great albums. R&B music might be dead, but Soul music might be on the rise in 2015.

Did any of y’all check out their follow up “Free Money”?

They definitely evolved. The first album sounded like a time machine, this one is still soulful but more modern. I think they did a much better job of kinda modernizing than Leon Bridges did.

I didn’t really like it on first listen but it grew on me. Top 3 album of 2018.
