When it comes to smooth, soulful production I think Freddie Joachim is J.Dilla and Pete Rock's true successor.
Damn near half of the mock CD covers I made this year were inspired by Freddie's singles.
He drops so much free music that whenever he drops I paid one I can't bring myself to download the leaked ones. They're cheap as hell anyways. His latest EP "Waiting" is only 2.36.

Yeah I made those. Sweep Away My Sorrow is also one of my favs. I ended up printing it out and hanging it on my wall. I was gonna make one for When You Sleep, but I saw on the ID tag that it had Waiting listed as the album. Freddie Joachim probably forgot to put it in the EP and just gave it away.
