Well theres a difference here. Trips was champion and running shyt at that time. Plus Nak was brought in after being heavily conveyed, and they invested a lot into him.

I don't know what was more stupid the promo itself or thinking they could get away with it in a culturally diverse area like Oakland and not get any negative feedback from it.

It finally happened. SmackDown finally had a "Bayley, This is Your Life" segment.
Beyond it being racist, it didn't even achieve its intended goal. Jinder has been going on and on for months about how these people hate him for where he comes from and how he looks.......so his plan is to make racist jokes about Shinsuke unironically, which will then get the crowd to reveal their racism and turn against Shinsuke? What kind of idiot logic is that?
It makes Jinder look like a dumbass who's no better than the fans.
If the crowd wasn't chanting "That's too far," they were just staring into space wondering what the hell was going on. Jinder's not a captivating enough heel to pull this off. This was complete
all around and they really need to do something different with this feud before no one's into it anymore.

Exactly. Dude spent the entire time exposing the hypocrisy of the crowd. but ended up being no different from the crowd. Like this doesn't work what so ever to push the match this Sunday, but only make the company look more relic than before. Why not have a traditional beatdown of Naka and belittle his credibility by making the Singh Brothers troll a bruised and battered Naka?
Why not trash his former promotion thus causing international heat and internet heat with the NJPW fanboys?
Why not dress up like Naka and troll his swag, thus channeling Naka to either beat him down or reverse the game and dress up like Jinder, thus fukkery

Remember last weeks promo should of been before the very first match between the two, that was the first mistake. If it was me, at the very start of the feud I would of had Jinder be nice about Nakamura, saying look how far we come being 2 little's boys from foreign lands now challenging for the WWE title. Making history, not only being heroes and icons in our homelands(by way of Canada 
) but conquering the promise land that is America. They shake hands and then Jinder tells Nakamura, one more thing, there can only be one and then him and the Bollywood Boyz attack him and beat him down.

I would of had Jinder keep on pressing the point home, you're not taking my title that I have worked hard for and talk about being a role model for hard work and dedication while Nakamura is just your stereotypical Rockstar, flamboyant and careless etc etc...

Wrestling fans don't know want they freakin want, they wanted a heel like JBL now that they have a heel want him to pipe down. Bunch of bytches a lot of these marks.
The worst part of this dumbass story is that it takes away from the dopeness that two Asian men are feuding for the WWE Title. They could have gone so many directions with that without the 'cism.
