That's what these R and B singers need to do Again Erykah and Jill Scott still does shows because people know they're gonna get a good show/

I guess if no one outside of their core audience will hear it no need to release an album they could just sing new songs at their shows.

Chloe could do the same thing become a primo performer and introduce new songs at her shows.

Chloe never mentioned Beyoncé or even alluded to her in any way in the clip.

She can’t “perform” because her singles and albums have flopped over the past two years and the label (Parkwood/Colombia) have invested millions of dollars into her through her last tour, promotion, studio time, travel, hair/makeup, videos, production and haven’t recouped their money through sales/ticket sales. There’s no value in putting her on another tour when she’s not popping like that.

Social media has given artists like Chloe sadly the allusion that they are “bigger” than they are through constant immediate fan engagement. But those fans still have to buy/stream records and pay for a ticket to a show if you want to survive in the business and many of the new artists in the social media era are learning this the hard way.

Cue the rise of the R and B artist/ influencer.
