i wish breh, but that's only the case for physical injury, emotional damage like in this case doesn't count. this is just one more tool the government uses to discourage lawsuits. the taxable amount is based on the award before attorneys' fees so a poor client who hired on contingency and didn't get wounded may very well end up in the red after getting paid.
