“We did what we had to do. We did not wait for authorities. We did it our own self,” said Harold Carter, Arceneaux’s older brother.
Police say Arceneaux filed a complaint against Thomas June 15, alleging he locked her in a house and threatened to kill both her and the child.
“Since then, Scott has been riding around my mom’s house and my work looking for me. I am afraid for me and my son’s life,” Arceneaux wrote in the complaint.
A protective order was issued June 17. Thomas was arrested Aug. 8 for violating that order and was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated flight from an officer,
