He didn’t need to be beat up, especially to the point of being in a coma, they just needed to make sure he didn’t steal anything.

That whole idea of “being taught a lesson” sounds good when you’re the one teaching but in reality, it’s disproportional to the crime he’s committed. He hasn’t physically harmed anyone by stealing air freshener so if you think he should have been harmed intentionally for stealing, I’d say you have an unhealthy opinion of justice.

I never understood why employees of a retail store try their hardest to stop shop lifters. I can somewhat understand if you owned the store and someone was stealing merchandise and you tried to confront them. Insurance can take forever to pay and a huge loss can hurt a small business until they're paid but you never know what someone can do.

This old man clearly wasn't a threat and they should have just let him go. Now they'll possibly face assault charges and maybe murder charges if pops dies.

When I worked at Dollar General in high school, I didn't say nothing to them. I just eye contact with them like just to let them know I saw them stealing, but I ain't say nothing to them or try to stop them. If you stealing from a fukking Dollar store, you probably need it more than I do, so

Same thing I did when I worked at Big Lots and Walgreens back in high school. Dudes looked me straight in the eye and thought I was going to do something. I just gave them the and went about my business. What I look doing the most for a job that was paying me minimum wage($5.15 an hour at the time).
