Nah, that's not cool. I like that aspect of it. Forces you to use everything at your disposal.

I think there is a survival mode for the elite gamers don't know the rules tho

I never felt like I was forced into using a weapon I didn't want to because of degradation, but it did force me not to use certain weapons that I wanted to use, like uniques

I've seen third person mode for this game. Can I play the whole game that way instead of first person view?

You can play it both ways Fallout 3 and New Vegas you was able to interchange the cameras during combat/non-combat to give you a FP perspective or a third person over the sholder perspective. the hype is real my friend...
