What more did you really want from the game?
Cogent main quest line
Better dialogue options
Level cap
Old leveling & perk system
No scaling enemies
Better radiant quests / or just implemented differently (Skyrim's felt more integrated)
Hardcode mode released at launch instead of patched in a year later
Better control over companions (Again, older mechanics didn't need to be changed)
Interesting DLC that's not just additions to settlement building
Settlement mechanic needs overhauling
More interesting towns/locations not just filled w/ raiders or wildlife
Bethesda seem to have taken one step forward and two steps back. They took out, or overly simplified features that people generally enjoyed from the Fallout series, in exchange for what exactly? A voiced player character? A seemingly thrown together settlement building mechanic? Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time with the game and some of these things were patched or improved with mods. But there's a reason Fallout 4 isn't considered the best Fallout game of the series... There's a reason why it's now sitting at a 5.5 user score on metacritic. Fallout 4 isn't a
bad game, it's just not a great
Fallout game.
