New Vegas had more depth and a better story. Fallout 3 only beats New Vegas in terms of atmosphere and environment. Plus New Vegas only had a year of development time compared to Fallout 3.

I barely remember the story because that's just how uninteresting that game was. Even the music was terrible

The beginning is slow and the story really doesn't pick up until you reach New Vegas. Plus a lot stuff in New Vegas got cut. The Legion was supposed to have more depth instead of just being an evil faction. Also Ulysses was supposed to be an option as a companion. He was supposed to be the only pro-Legion companion.
I liked FO3 but the story is really just a mash up of FO1 and FO2 stories.

Yea bae it's a stretch but hopefully it drops this year. By November well be done with witches and metal gear. Only other good game dropping holiday season is battlefront
Fallout 3 and Skyrim both had potential to be GOAT games but fell short due to certain flaws (mostly due to the controls). Hopefully Bathesda learned enough to deliver what we`ve been waiting for. As far as the graphics....I don`t give a fukk. Graphics are the last thing I care about. Its a bathesda game it can be made to look 10x nicer with mods anyway.
The trailer has me a little worried to be honest. I hated how preset the story was in fo3. Giving the main character that much back story and motivation kind of takes away from the feeling of freedom games like Skyrim and FNV give you. The whole family and dog thing has me

Trailer for Fallout 3 was released at E3 '08, and the game dropped in October of that same year, so while I'm not really expecting the game to come out this year, there's precedent, and we can hope.
As far as the ppl bytching about the graphics. A. this is a Fallout game, and B. you are a major part of the problem with games in 2015. Get so caught up in window dressing that you forgot how to actually enjoy games. But that's a topic for another thread, so please, let's just enjoy this day as our eyes have been exposed to the greatness that is Fallout 4

Another thing I like about the trailer is that it looks like maybe we'll get color in the game and it won't be like Transformers where everything is like 1 or 2 colors.
The character matters less if you can customize him however you want. It also looks like we have a talking protagonist this time, so maybe that'll help immerse you a little more. Also, what do you mean by freedom exactly? Being able to go wherever you want and do whatever you want is freedom to me
